Industrial Facility located in Pennsylvania

General Energy Corporation (GEC) successfully completed the second phase of a comprehensive lighting upgrade project at Industrial facility in Philadelphia. This project follows the initial phase completed in 2022, marking a significant milestone in enhancing energy efficiency and operational sustainability for our customer. The LED lighting upgrade exemplifies GEC’s commitment to delivering sustainable energy solutions tailored to client needs. By leveraging advanced technology and expertise, GEC not only enhanced operational efficiency but also supported customer’s journey towards a more sustainable future.

Annual Electricity Savings (kWh/yr): 258,076

Annual Energy Cost Savings: $28,388

Average Light Levels Improvement: 27%
Annual Environmental Impact: 180 Metric Tons of Carbon Dioxide equivalent to 20,287 gallons of gasoline consumption

Project Scope: The project aimed to upgrade the existing lighting infrastructure to state-of-the-art LED technology and integrated with lighting controls.

  • Comprehensive Audit: GEC conducted a detailed lighting audit to assess current energy usage, lighting quality, and potential savings.
  • Customized Lighting Design: Based on the audit findings, GEC designed a tailored LED lighting solution that optimized energy efficiency while meeting the specific lighting requirements of different areas within the facility.
  • Installation and Integration: GEC’s experienced team executed the installation phase with minimal disruption to the plant operations. The installation covered offices and warehouses ensuring uniform and efficient lighting throughout the facility. Motion sensors were installed on all the warehouse light fixtures to automatically turn lights on and off, further reducing energy consumption when the space is not occupied during normal business hours.

Key Benefits:

  • Energy Efficiency: The transition to LED lighting significantly reduced facility’s energy consumption compared to conventional lighting systems.
  • Cost Savings: Lower energy usage and reduced maintenance requirements resulted in substantial operational cost savings.
  • Enhanced Lighting Quality: Improved lighting quality and uniformity enhanced workplace safety and productivity of the employees.
  • Environmental Impact: The project contributed to the facility’s sustainability goals by lowering carbon emissions and reducing overall environmental footprint.
