WHO WE ARE

General Energy Corporation (GEC) is an Illinois-based commercial solar EPC contractor, battery storage integrator, and mechanical/electrical engineering firm. Founded in 1985, GEC has spent four decades delivering energy solutions to commercial and industrial clients nationwide- with active licenses in 10 states.

What began as a mechanical and electrical engineering practice has evolved into one of the region's most experienced commercial solar and battery storage companies . Our deep engineering roots set us apart — we don't just install solar panels and batteries, we engineer complete energy systems designed to perform for decades.

GEC serves a diverse portfolio of clients including Fortune 500 manufacturers, beverage distributors, water reclamation districts, park districts, and commercial institutional facilities. Our 900+ completed projects across all service lines represent a legacy of technical excellence and client trust.
