The project’s installation phase faced a notable challenge: the existing electrical infrastructure, particularly the transformer, was insufficient for the demands of the new solar system. The utility company required an upgrade to ensure a safe connection to the grid, a necessity for enabling the transformer to distribute excess power generated by the solar system. Although this upgrade led to unexpected delays and additional expenses, it was essential for the system’s efficiency and safety. The encouragement from federal and state policies, alongside incentives from electric utilities for net metering and rebates for distributed generation, is instrumental in fostering a cleaner, more sustainable future powered by solar energy.
